Join us at any one of four General Plan virtual community workshops to establish a shared vision that will help guide Hollister’s future!

At these virtual workshops, you will collaborate with other Hollister community members to express your vision for Hollister in 2040. The General Plan Vision Statement will reflect the community’s needs and aspirations for the next 20 years. Participants will say what kind of community they want Hollister to become and what values should guide future decisions..

These workshops will be interactive and conducted using Zoom, an online video/audio conferencing platform. Meeting participants can join by desktop, tablet, or smart phone with Internet connection. The same workshop will be held on each of the four different days and times. Choose one of the following options:

  1. Saturday, June 27 –10 am
  2. Tuesday, June 30 –  6 pm
  3. Wednesday, July 8 –  7 am
  4. Thursday, July 9 – 6 pm

All workshops will be offered in English and Spanish.

Due to the workshop format, participants MUST register in advance. Workshops are subject to cancellation, consolidation or rescheduling if the City receives inadequate reservations.

What is a General Plan?

The Hollister General Plan guides how and where to:

  • Allow new development.
  • Preserve existing housing and build new homes.
  • Relieve traffic congestion, add new bike paths, and improve sidewalks.
  • Support local businesses and create local jobs.
  • Create neighborhoods that are welcoming for all.
  • Keep the community safe, both day-to-day and from natural disasters and climate change.

Can’t make it to this meeting but still want to offer some ideas?
