During Shelter In Place, it is still is ok to go outside for essential outings, while maintaining social distancing and non-medical nose and mouth face covers are recommended.

We are promoting social distancing, but we need to stay connected emotionally. Try one of two of these everyday.

  • Call a friend, neighbor, or relative
  • Write a letter
  • Facetime, Skype, Zoom, Facebook Messenger
  • Volunteer! The San Benito County Community Pantry is in need of extra help during this period of high demand. Sign-up for a shift on the food bank’s website, Click HERE.

Assistance Obtaining Food and Supplies

If you need assistance getting food, supplies, etc., please call Hollister Recreation at 831-636-4390 or email recreation@hollister.ca.gov  and staff can help with your needs.

Jovenes de Antano Senior Program

If you are over the age of 65 and in need of a meal delivered, call Jovenes de Antano at 831-637-9275 to sign up for their Meals On Wheels Program which delivers healthy food to San Benito County senior residents Monday through Friday. For more information, click on  Meals on Wheels Program
