Hollister Fire and the Community

The Hollister Fire Department is committed to the education of the community and hosts fire service courses through the South Bay Regional Public Safety Consortium. Courses included are:

  • Firefighter I Academy twice a year

Department education includes:

  • Station tours
  • Education on Natures Wrath
  • Safe kids campaign
  • Fire prevention week
  • Fireworks Safety Sheet - Download Here
  • Safe house
  • Assisting the San Benito Fire Safe Council (www.sbfsc.org)

The Department receives assignments from time to time that include;

  • Color guards
  • Parade processions
  • Career day

Hollister Fire participates in the Firefighter Toy Drive program every Christmas.

A city park was dedicated to former Fire Chief - the late Antonio “Tony” Aguirre. (Dedicated August 7, 2000). Located on the corner of Bridgeville and West Graff.
