About Hollister
A Taste of the Valley
California's Central Coast hosts some of the most fertile soils in the world, allowing it to be a leader of agricultural produce and of natural beauty.
San Benito County is home to an unparalleled variety of local produce, complimented by unique restaurants and wineries throughout the area. Sea breezes regulate the temperature, enabling seed growers and farmers to give life to a variety of over 75 cool and warm weather crops.
The Hollister area produces and sells a mixture of healthy foods. Sixty seven organic growers in San Benito County harvest 75 different vegetable, vine, and orchard crops. The Hollister area is famous for olive oil, walnuts, dark chocolates, apples, apricots, pomegranates, tomatoes, peppers, grass fed beef, and pasture raised poultry among many others.
The San Benito County Wine Trail winds through the rolling hillsides of Hollister's back country, where visitors can taste the locally produced wines made from the infamous grapes of the Valley. Additionally, local beer, sake, and tequila are brewed and distilled in Hollister.
