Circulation of (Municipal Code 8.32.060(A5) Prohibited activities and unlawful conditions) a Counterfeit Flyer. Hollister Fire Department, Fire Prevention Bureau and the Division of Municipal Code Enforcement have been made aware of a counterfeit flyer being circulated within the City limits. The counterfeit flyer is in violation of the above mentioned Municipal Code. The City of Hollister does not post any literature on vehicles. Hollister does enforce municipal code 8.32.060(A5) which states:
Automobiles, boats, dismounted campers, or other vehicles or equipment, which are not regulated by Section 15.12.020, that are permanently parked or stored on property used or zoned for residential purposes, unless parked or located on a paved driveway or off-street parking space approved and/or installed pursuant to city codes or in an area lawfully screened from view from all adjacent public rights-of-way.
If a vehicle is in violation of the municipal code, Code Enforcement officers will address the resident and seek to gain compliance. If there is no contact made with the resident, Code Enforcement Officers will mail out a correctable citation. The resident is given ten days to have the vehicle removed. If there is no response or vehicle is parked incorrectly again, code will issue a non-correctable citation of $250.00.
Code enforcement is proactive in enforcing this code which is usually reported by neighbors.
The unauthorized circulations of false documents are highly discouraged and misrepresent the intention of the Municipal Code Enforcement Division and the City of Hollister. This matter is under investigation.
